ISTIC is organizing a Training Workshop for Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) Master Trainers on Climate Change Education from 27th – 30th August 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Objectives of the training workshop are:

  1. To sensitise trainers on issues of climate change using IBSE as an approach to teaching climate change education
  2. To enhance skills, understanding and competency of master trainers to assist teachers in implementing the approach; and
  3. To provide the master trainers a solid framework for delivering training.

The first part of the training workshop will cover topics on climate change education through IBSE. The United Nations have declared climate change is one of the major challenges of our time. In that context, teachers require educational resources as well as professional development to be able to offer climate change education to their pupils. The second part of the workshop would expose participants to IBSE concepts of Training of Trainers (ToT).

Participants are highly encouraged to submit an online application, of which the links are available in the brochure. Applications should be submitted by 1st August 2018. The organiser will provide hotel accommodation to international participants only. All participants are expected to obtain travel grants from their organisations/governments.
