President ECOSF Called Upon the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Islamabad

On September 14, 2023, Professor Seyed Komail Tayebi, President of ECOSF, visited the Turkmenistan Embassy in Islamabad, where he met with His Excellency Mr. Atadjan Movlamov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan. President Tayebi received a warm welcome upon his arrival at the Embassy by the Ambassador.
During the visit, President ECOSF and the Ambassador convened a meeting to discuss matters related to ECOSF, Turkmenistan, and the ECO region. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Ghulam Abbas Rahar, ECOSF's Manager of Administration and Mr. Eldar Permonov, 3rd Secretary at the Embassy.
Prof. Tayebi highlighted that since its establishment in December 2011, the Foundation has been dedicated to promoting and supporting activities related to Science, Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (SETI) in its Member Countries. Additionally, Prof. Tayebi shared ECOSF's upcoming plans to host a significant event such as 7th Teenager Maker Camp to be held in China in November this year, the "Technology and Trade Expo and Conference," in Islamabad early next year and IBSE workshop in Turkmenistan. The TTEC will feature universities, technology firms, scientists, and academia. The President ECOSF also requested the Ambassador to follow up the commitment of Turkmenistan for payment of financial contribution and the related arrears to the ECOSF.
H.E. the Ambassador took keen interest in the discussion and appreciated the role of ECOSF to promote SETI in ECO region. Mr. Movlamov thanked the Foundation to invite Turkmenistan’s science community to attend diverse events of ECOSF. He assured that Turkmenistan is in process of nominating team for 7th Teenager Maker Camp. He also admired to organize mega event of TTEC and hoped that a good number of relevant stakeholders from Turkmenistan will attend the event. He assured his possible support to release the funds to ECOSF.
At the end, the Ambassador presented a shield to President ECOSF. Prof. Tayebi also invited the Ambassador to visit ECOSF Secretariat which was happily accepted.
