President ECOSF meets with Advisor to the Minister and Director General of the Ministry and Public Relations, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT), Tehran

October 1, 2024: President of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), Prof. Seyed Komail Tayebi, held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Ahmad Reza Khezri the newly appointed Advisor to the Minister and Director General of the Ministry and Public Relations, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT), Iran. Prof. Tayebi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Khezri on his new role, expressing confidence in his leadership to advance Iran's science and technology sectors to new heights.

During the meeting, Prof. Tayebi briefed Prof. Khezri on ECOSF’s mission as a regional organization dedicated to fostering cooperation in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) across the ECO region. While highlighting the immense potential for regional collaboration in these fields, he also discussed a significant financial challenge. He emphasized the importance of fulfilling financial commitments to ensure the Foundation can achieve its mission effectively.

In response, Prof. Khezri recognized ECOSF's vital role in promoting STI within the ECO region and acknowledged the issue of Iran’s arrears. He assured Prof. Tayebi that efforts would be made to address this concern and settle the outstanding contributions. Prof. Khezri also underlined the importance of supporting ECOSF, stating that resolving this matter would unlock greater opportunities for the Foundation to fully realize its potential and further its mission of fostering regional development.
