International Science Forum for Schoolchildren (ISF4Child) held in Astana- Kazakhstan- Advisor ECOSF among the Keynote Speakers

Three Day “International Scientific Forum for Schoolchildren (ISF4Child)” with the theme; “Youth, Science Education and Innovation for Sustainable Future” was held in Astana, Kazakhstan on April 11-13, 2024. The Forum was jointly organized by International Center for Scientific Cooperation (ICSC), the Ministry of Justice, the KazPatent, the Ministry of Science & Higher Education, the Presidential Centre of Republic of Kazakhstan, and supported by the Belt and Road International Science Education Consortium (BRISEC), ECO Science Foundation and other national & international organizations. The Forum-2024 was held within the framework of the projects: "Children in Science" and the IX School "Young Inventors”. The purpose of the Forum was to popularize science, encourage children's scientific creativity, building scientific capacity and wider involvement of Kazakhstani schoolchildren in the international scientific community.
Dr. Lazzat Kusainova ICSC President of ICSC welcomed all the distinguished guests and briefly highlighted the purpose and objectives of the Forum.
The Forum was opened by Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Sayasat Nurbek. The Minister of Justice H.E. Mr. Azamat Yeskaraev attended as Guest of Honor. BRISEC President Professor Hiang Ping WU from Chinese Academy of Sciences China participated online. The three dignitaries made speeches, encouraging children to continue shining on international forums. Minister Nurbek also announced an ambitious programme of capacity building and grooming of Kazakhstani children especially in science education and innovation for a bright and sustainable future of Kazakhstan.
From ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), Prof. Manzoor Hussain Soomro, Advisor/Immediate Past President, joined the Forum as keynote speaker online. In his speech, Prof. Soomro appreciated International Center for Scientific Cooperation and its Leader Dr. Lazzat Kussainova, the Ministry of Justice, the KazPatent, the Ministry of Science & Higher Education, the Presidential Centre of Republic of Kazakhstan and other collaborators for organizing the vital futuristic event in Astana-Kazakhstan. He further said that the youth engagement in various activities on S&T education and innovation and discovery-based learning by schoolchildren, the Inquiry-Based Science Education, and the Teenager Makers Camps, are all, the pre-requisites and the key to sustainable future development. He suggested that the countries should include them in their priority areas to ensure sustainable development as the young scientists, are destined to shape the future of the world. Prof. Soomro emphasized that the youth should explore the universe and do wonders by uncovering the mysteries of the universe by undertaking research and innovation.
Prof. Soomro further said that the girls and women are around 50% of the world’s population, thus, their role as leaders should also be enhanced and played enthusiastically by the females so that a significant number of the population can be utilized in the development of the countries, especially in the field of science, technology and innovation.
Other Moderators and speakers were schoolchildren - winners of international competitions. At the end of opening ceremony, medals and certificates from the Government of Kazakhstan, were awarded to the winner students of different global student competitions for their efforts and hard work bringing honour to Kazakhstan.
