Prof. Joe emphasized the agricultural land reforms programmes instituted and supported by the Northeast Asian countries, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China were instrumental in bringing successful economic revolution in the region. This agricultural development created the demand for developing the basic materials and goods which gradually scaled up to feed in the manufacturing sector.
