President of ECOSF Meets with Mr. Majid Meshki, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of Iran in Islamabad

Professor Seyed Komail Tayebi, President of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), met with Mr. Majid Meshki, the Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of Iran in Islamabad on December 5, 2024. The meeting took place in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Mr. Meshki warmly welcomed Professor Tayebi and spoke about the strong cultural ties between Iran and Pakistan.
Professor Tayebi talked about the important role of culture in advancing science, technology, and innovation. He explained how culture can be included in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, which is the main goal of ECOSF. He said that cultural basics can help encourage progress in science and technology in the region.
Professor Tayebi invited Mr. Meshki to join the upcoming Mother Languages Literature Festival - 2025. This event is designed to celebrate linguistic diversity and cultural heritage and to strengthen regional cooperation.
Mr. Meshki thanked Professor Tayebi for the invitation and praised the idea of the festival. He said it is a great chance to highlight the similarities between the Persian (Farsi) and Urdu languages. He also stressed that these two languages are important tools for building a shared cultural connection between Iran and Pakistan.
Mr. Meshki added that promoting the Persian language in Pakistan and the Urdu language in Iran is essential to improving understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both sides agreeing on the value of using cultural connections to support development and innovation in the region.
